Nightwalks with Teenagers

By Mammalian Diving Reflex / Darren O’Donnell

'These kids give us the gift of being allowed to behave like children again.' - THE GUARDIAN

When was the last time you let a teenager make your decisions for you?

See the streets of our city with different eyes as you explore the neighborhood with local young people as your guide. Our Nightwalks with Teenagers ‘tour guides’ plan, design and lead a series of public walks through the streets at night, creating a special experience that brings adult audiences and teenagers together for fun, adventure, and the chance for contemplation and connection. This social experiment is the concept of the Toronto-based company Mammalian Diving Reflex, which creates site- and social-specific events.

Presented in association with Perth Festival.

BENEATH THE MUSIC

Beneath the Music is an exploration of the journey from resistance to acceptance of queerness, especially by those we hold dear. Created by Jay Emmanuel and written by Karthika Naïr, this poetic new physical theatre work is, above all, a celebration of gender fluidity and queerness across generations, traditions, and cultures.
