The Collider Project
In a time of disillusionment and division — watch two generations collide.
In a time of disillusionment and division — watch two generations collide.
Collider is a project that has two vastly different age groups engage with each other in several activities over many weeks, culminating in a presentation.
This social experiment will explore socialising between two generations. After entering the 2020s, a trend has been made clear: young people are feeling lonelier than ever, with 40% saying that they feel lonely or do not have a community. This work aims to bridge that gap by having young people meet and get to know older people within our community to reveal how connecting has changed and how it has stayed the same.
Collider is a framework provided by Mammalian Diving Reflex that combines differing demographics, allowing them to socialise and interact with each other in ways they usually do not. Amana Living, WA's largest not-for-profit aged-care company, has helped facilitate our connections with the majority of our older participants.
You are available to attend workshops: Every Sunday from 1 - 29 March (1-3pm), daily 7-17 April (excluding 12 April).
