The Dramaturgy Development Group allows theatre makers from across Australia to access expert keynotes with industry leading speakers. Across a series of online livestreams, the group brings forward a wide variety of diverse voices in dramaturgy, delivering professional development through experience sharing, advice, and facilitated Q&A.

Cost: $10 per session
Aimed at emerging and established professionals, these keynote sessions will be led by a wide range of industry-leading dramaturgs, delivered online to ensure professional development is made accessible to artists and theatre makers across Australia.
Join Encounter’s resident dramaturg, Jules Orcullo, in conversation with a new guest dramaturg each session, as they explore a multi-faceted approach to dramaturgy. Together, the speakers will explain how to demystify and develop your own practice, while empowering the next generation of theatre makers to use dramaturgy as a tool for artistic exploration, cultural dialogue, and social change.
Sessions include 60 min keynote, followed by 30 min facilitated Q&A.

Location: Keynotes will be delivered via online platform.
Cost: $10 per session
Places are limited and registration is essential. Early registration is encouraged. Please note this opportunity is for theatre professionals. CALD and First Nations theatre makers are especially encouraged to participate.
