You are invited to join us for the Introduction to Playwriting program, combining guided in-person sessions with flexible self-learning, giving you space to explore your story while building skills and community along the way. The program begins Sat 14 June with a two-day LAB at The Blue Room Theatre, followed by online sessions and a second two-day LAB. Here is how the program looks:

In-Person Workshops (LABs) at The Blue Room Theatre - Dive into playwriting with guidance from WA playwright Phil Thomson and internationally acclaimed writer & performer, Neil D’Souza (Mahabharata) — two dynamic artists ready to spark your creativity and bring your stories to life.

LAB #1 10:30am-3:30pm, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th June at The Blue Room Theatre

LAB #2 10:30am-3:30pm, Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July at The Blue Room Theatre

Self-Directed Writing Time - Develop your work at your own pace between sessions, with weekly online support sessions hosted by Phil Thomson.

A Reading Event - with Industry, on Thursday 21st August

Registration must be completed by Friday 13 June, the fee covers the complete program, and all activities listed above.
